Overview

Desktop application adding ESC/POS printer support to TastyIgniter. Solves TastyIgniter's lack of native printer integration.

TastyIgniter doesn't offer native support for kitchen printers - our app solves this problem. Connects to your TastyIgniter instance and adds the ability to print orders to ESC/POS thermal printers. Printing is triggered manually with one click. Supports USB and network printers with configurable headers and footers. Works on Windows, macOS, and Linux.

How It Integrates

The desktop application connects to your TastyIgniter instance via API. After logging in through the app settings, you see orders and can print them with one click to the configured printer. The printer must be connected to the computer running the app. ESC/POS printing functionality requires a separate license and can be purchased independently from order management features.

Common Questions

Can I enable auto-print when new orders come in?
Not yet. Currently, orders must be manually sent to printers with one click in the app. Automatic printing on order receipt is planned for a future update.
Which printers are compatible?
The app uses the electron-pos-printer library that supports the ESC/POS protocol. It should work with most Epson TM, Star TSP thermal printers and generic ESC/POS compatible printers. Both USB and network printers are supported.
Where can I download the app?
The app is available for download above for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Use the download button to get the version for your operating system. Installation instructions are included in the download package.
Does this work with TastyIgniter 3?
No. The app requires TastyIgniter 4.0 or higher and the ti-ext-api extension. If you're running TastyIgniter 3, we recommend upgrading to TastyIgniter 4 first.
